Benefits of Washi

Nagai Shigyo Corporation started making handmade Japanese paper in the Taisho era. Nagai Denzaemon, from Kuniyasu Village (now know as Saijo City), was very passionate about traditional Japanese paper.

In 1955, the invention of the Japanese paper making machine was introduced and revolutionized how traditional Japanese paper was being made. In the present day, we’re taking all the techniques from our history and using them to offer wholesale companies all over the world pieces of our tradition through the form of washi.
